How to get Elastic Fins in Towers of Aghasba – Destructoid

You’ll need to obtain many resources in Towers of Aghasba at some point or another. One of those resources is the elusive Elastic Fin, which is difficult to get your hands on if you don’t have the knowledge to do so.

Where to get Elastic Fins in Towes of Aghasba

If you do what Towers of Aghasba recommends in its tutorial and check the Tooltips for where to find a resource for Elastic Fins, you’ll be told that they come from creatures with similar characteristics. As helpful as that may or may not be for you, it doesn’t tell you exactly how or where to find them. Thankfully, they aren’t too hard to find, but there is a bit of random luck involved with getting them.

The statement that Elastic Fins come from creatures with fins is one with a solid foundation of truth behind it. The question then becomes, where do you find such a creature? Your first thought may be to hunt creatures in the sea, but I urge you to look to the skies for a Kikeron.

These are four-winged flying beasts that are most commonly found circling Groves on the island. If you follow the main quest once reaching the mainland, working with the Forest God will lead you straight to a Grove, where you’ll likely find a bunch flying around. Do your duty as a hunter, and shoot one out of the sky with your bow for a chance at an Elastic Fin drop. They are rare, so you may need to hunt a few.

Alternatively, you can also get Elastic Fins from hunting Skitratu in any Temperate Ecosystem. These creatures are small and pretty much harmless to you. That said, they like to hide in their holes, so you may be forced to dig one out with a Shovel to find it.

There are many creatures in Towers of Aghasba, and several are bound to have Elastic Fins as a potential drop, but I’ve found the Kirkeron and Skitratu to be their easiest source. That said, in situations where you aren’t sure if a creature has an Elastic Fin or whatever else you may be searching for, make good use of your Shimuscope and observe them. It tells you exactly the information you need to know.
