Get exclusive rewards through the Genshin Impact x McDonald’s collaboration event this month – Destructoid
After some cheeky teasing on Twitter/X, Genshin Impact has revealed more details on its collaboration event with McDonald’s. Here’s everything we know about Genshin Impact’s first fast food collab in the United States.
The Genshin Impact x McDonald’s collaboration event is limited to participating locations in the United States from September 17 through 29. That’s less than a two-week duration to get your tasty food and in-game goods.
Genshin Impact x McDonald’s rewards
So what do you get from this event? There are two McDonald’s menu items related to the event: the Genshin Impact Apple Pie and Genshin Impact Deluxe McCrispy™ Meal. The apple pie comes in a special Genshin-themed box featuring special art of Kazuha and Beidou. The Deluxe McCrispy™ Meal also has the limited-edition apple pie, along with a crispy chicken sandwich, fries, and a drink. Each item comes with different rewards, delivered via a redemption code.

How to participate in the event
The Genshin Impact x McDonald’s collaboration event only runs from September 17 through 29, 2024. You’ll need to be in the United States near a participating McDonald’s location. If you (or a friend) can make it to a participating McDonald’s within this time period, here’s how to get your rewards.
- Download the McDonald’s app. Make sure you’re registered in the McDonald’s Rewards program and enable email notifications.
- Open the McDonald’s app and tap on the Genshin Impact x McDonald’s collaboration event banner.
- Select the item(s) you want. You can only get one of each reward package per order.
- Check your email for the redemption code(s).
- Redeem your code(s) either in-game or on Genshin Impact’s official redemption page. The rewards will be sent to your in-game mailbox.
The fine print states that you can only get one redemption code per apple pie or meal purchase. If you want multiple of each reward package, you’ll need to make multiple orders. Redemption codes will work for all global servers, so if you live outside the United States, you can still redeem the rewards if a friend grabs you a code. Each reward package can only be redeemed once per Genshin Impact account, so you can’t hoard Golden Apple Pastry items by buying apple pies in real life.
