How to get Artisan’s Touch in Once Human – Destructoid
The Artisan’s Touch is a Crafting Deviation, meaning it hangs out at your base in Once Human and doesn’t accompany you into battle. It’s one of the more useful Deviations because it enables you to craft the All-Purpose Hand. So, let’s get to tracking it down.
Artisan’s Touch drop locations in Once Human
The Artisan’s Touch can’t be found floating around in interactive Palworld-esque bubbles like many of the other Deviations in the game. Instead, it has a chance to drop as loot after defeating the elite Scorcher or Weather Forecast Deviants in Once Human.
It can take several attempts, in the 8-10 range, before the Artisan’s Touch drops. Rather than traveling around to the different locations, it’s faster to log out of the game (in a safe spot!), wait for a few minutes, and then log back in. The target Deviant will have respawned.
Also, in many of these areas, there are one or two other elite Deviants wandering around, so be wary. Particularly in the Blackfell Fallen Zone, if you venture there too early, there’s a high chance to be killed. Lots of mobs are skulking about, many of them hard to spot or aggroing from a distance, so it’s easy to get overrun if you’re not fully paying attention.
Location | Enemy | Zone | Rec Level | Coordinates |
---|---|---|---|---|
Hearst Industries | Scorcher | Broken Delta | Level 11 | 6075, -6099 |
Eastern Railway Junction | Scorcher x 2 | Broken Delta | Level 14 | 4471, -5274 |
Greywater Industrial Zone | Scorcher | Iron River | Level 23 | 4829, -3081 |
Evergreen | Weather Forecast | Red Sands | Level 42 | 4372, -2494 |
Blackfell Fallen Zone | Weather Forecast | Red Sands | 45 | 4250, -1280 |
Fighting the Scorcher Deviant in Once Human
The Scorcher can cause a lot of damage if you let its flame attacks hit you, but the real danger comes when you’ve “killed” it. Its flame head detaches and begins moving independently, so you may wind up fighting both the Scorcher body and its head at the same time. Keep your distance, attack from a height if possible, and you should be okay.
Fighting the Weather Forecast Deviant in Once Human
I died in about five stunned seconds the first time I encountered this creepy elite. It’s one of the cooler enemies in Once Human but has a lot of health and can bring a tough fight. The key is to keep your distance and mow it down, preferably with a stun or DOT weapon, as quickly as possible. It constantly floats towards you and, once close enough, summons a storm with projectiles that can wipe you out quickly.
In Evergreen, you can climb onto the roofs of the buildings surrounding the cul de sac where the Weather Forecast lurks. In Blackfell Fallen Zone, the fight arena is a large rooftop, so you should be able to stay at range.
What is the Artisan’s Touch Deviation used for in Once Human?
The super rare Artisan’s Touch Deviation, once set up in a Securement Unit, will begin to produce Multi-Tools. It likes to be near a furnace and needs 10W of power for max efficiency. Once you have 40 Multi-Tools and some other mats, you’ll be able to craft an All-Purpose Hand at a Supplies Workbench.
This single-use tool will instantly repair the piece of gear in your inventory with the lowest durability. It must be an item that you’ve crafted, not one you’ve found.
- 40 Multi-Tools
- 15 Acid
- 40 Stardust Source
- 1 Vanadium Crystal
